She found her thumb...

Great. 6 days old and we have a thumb sucker on our hands!

Nana Cochran is here!

Linden's first bath!

It is safe to say that the experience was much more enjoyable for her parents than it was for her.

Mom and daughter taking a much needed nap

First time on film!

We've officially entered the realm of "cheesy parents". Enjoy this clip of our 4 day old... you may want a vomit bag.

Otto meets his little sister for the first time!

I brought Otto home from a friend's house this afternoon. He greeted Linden with a quick sniff, but mainly treated her with indifference.

Now he's situated next to her while she sits on Mom's lap, ready to pounce on any threat.

I knew he would be a great big brother...

Settling in at home...

After a semi-successful 1st night at home, we are all settling in slowly.

The Trek Home

Linden got her first taste of the carseat, the outdoors and a car ride home!

We got home without any incidents... now what do we do?

Getting dolled up for her first "outing"...

Showcasing "Piggy's" new print...

Look at those long legs!

Mommy's view

After a good feeding.

Linden likes daddy's pinkie!

Note Brian's calming effect. ;)

Heading Home tomorrow (Thursday)

The hospital is kicking us to the curb tomorrow and we are anticipating it with mixed emotion. We are experiencing a bit of cabin fever and are quite restless due to our confined living the past 50 hours... but even moreso we are nervous, and feeling a bit inadequate to take home this new fragile life!! Thankfully, Linden is a gracious and forgiving daughter (as witnessed by dad's swaddling technique!).

Mom and Dad are going on about 4-5 hours of combined sleep the past 2 nights... maybe the comfort of our own bed at home will allow us to maybe push that up an hour or two?

We can always hope right?

Dad disgustingly proud...

Oh yeah.

Linden after a really good feed...

Food coma...

My mouth is tired!

Nursing is a hard thing to learn!

Getting into the details...

Her toes look like fingers!

She sleeps like her momma... Mouth open!

Yo Mom, I had a baby!

Daddy's View

We would like to welcome...

LINDEN KEIKO YARDLEY to the family!!

After about 12 hours of labor Kacy delivered Linden at 8:53 A.M on December 9th, 2008! We are so blessed and humbled by the experience.

Our little blessing's stats:

Weight - 9lbs 2oz
Length - 21.5 inches
SAT Score - 1600
Batting Avg. - .355
IQ - 200

Amazing isn't it??

Here's the quick story of how things happened:

Kacy and I went to our weekly Doctor's appointment at 4:15 on Monday (she was already 3 days overdue). Much to our surprise, after about 15 minutes our Doctor told us that it was time to have our baby... tonight!!

Kacy and I had time to pack our things, go out to dinner and then head to the hospital at 6:00 P.M. At 8:30 our doctor came in to break Kacy's water... then 12 hours later wahlah! (I'll spare the other details...)

Needless to say, we are very excited to have a healthy baby girl on our hands. Thank you for your prayers!!
